Summer Camp Head Counselors
Palisades Country Day School Palisades Country Day School Closter, NJ Closter, NJ Full-time Contract Full-time Contract Up to $20 an hour Up to $20 an hour Palisades Country Day Camp is one of Bergen County's premier day camps designed specifically for the young child.
Our co-ed camp accommodates children ages 18 months to 8 years old through an eight-week session season.
We are looking for kind, fun, and positive individuals at least 21 years of age.
Applicants will work with a team of other counselors to lead a group of campers to ensure a fun and safe summer for all.
Previous summer camp/teaching/babysitting experience a plus.
Camp Dates:
June 24-August 16, 2023 Expectations:
Serve as a leader, a mentor, a positive role model, and an upstanding member of the staff.
Demonstrate values of kindness, community and respect.
Be responsible for self and camper care.
Be present and participatory in all programs and activities.
Communicate proactively, regularly and openly with supervisors, fellow staff and parents.
Adhere to and assist in enforcement of Camp rules, regulations, and policies.
Promote and support positive and meaningful interactions between the campers.
Effective communication skills; both written and verbal.
A self-starter who demonstrates creativity, organization, and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Manage the health, safety, happiness, and well-being of campers.
Be a positive role model for their campers by following and enforcing camps rules, policies, and values.
Implement creative, fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure positive camper experiences.
Job Types:
